Our College has signed an Agreement with Anna University For "EDUSAT" Program with special Lectures by Experts, telecast by AU from Chennai will be received in our College Campus.
The Centre for Faculty Development of Anna University – Chennai conducts the ANNA EDUSAT live interactive audio-video lecture programmes transmitted through KU-Band provided by ISRO, Bangalore from January 2006 onwards. Up linking and down linking facilities are available at the University. Down linking facilities have been provided in 49 Engineering Colleges.
Live audio-video two way interactive lectures are given by expert faculty drawn from Anna University/IIT/affiliated colleges during semester session on working days. The lectures presently focus on the needs of B.E. students of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. General engineering subjects meant for students of all branches are also covered.
During the course of the lectures and at the end of the lectures students from their respective colleges interact with the expert faculty to get clarification on the subject matter taught. All the lectures are given with the help of power point presentation. The expert faculty also make use of the white board and tablet board facility while clarifying the doubts asked by the students during interactive session to enrich the Knowledge Level of our Students.
NPTEL means National Programme on Technology Enabled Learning funded by Ministry of HRD, Government of India. Our College has been recognized as the Nodal Center for carrying out this programme to our Students and faculty.
An extension counter of Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank Ltd., has been functioning in our College since 19.01.2001. Students are advised to deposit their money in the Extension Counter and pay all College fees through Bank only. For the convenience of students a ATM Counter is also functioning.
The whole campus is well connected through wired as well as wireless networks. Students are able to have access to internet with 45 mbps connectivity. The coverage of Wi-Fi is not only restricted to class rooms but also extends to all the areas including library, auditorium, cafeteria, and hostels. Eventually, it enables KCET to switch over to innovative and recent teaching and learning methodologies.
Water points are available at appropriate places in and around the campus to quench the thirst of the students. “Water, the elixir of Life” is purified using the reverse osmosis method, and supplied hygienically. This in turn, will protect the students from health hazards and help them to lead a healthy life.
